[CLINTON, N.C.] – Sampson Community College (SCC) is excited to announce its third Artist Call for a temporary public art sculpture at Sampson East Park.
Artists are invited to submit proposals by 5 PM (EST) on Friday, March 21, 2025. The official Request for Proposals (RFP) can be accessed here: https://bit.ly/42LhCqw.
An initiative that began in 2023, the upcoming installation will become the third sculpture featured in Sampson East Park on SCC’s campus. Previous pieces include “Waterdrop” by Hanna Jubran, and the current piece, “Blue Butterfly” by Benton & Sons Stainless Steel Fabrication.

Artists are welcome to submit their work for consideration. Once the proposal deadline of March 21, 2025 passes, the Public Art Committee will review proposals to then announce the finalists in late April. Final selection will be announced by June 30, 2025 after the conclusion of the public vote.
Artists interested in submitting their work can find full details and application instructions at www.sampsoncc.edu/art.
